The largest lake in South East Asia and also one of the most spectacular, surrounded by tall mountains and with the large island of Samosir in the middle. If we descend from the mountain we see the lake glittering in all its beauty. Rudy Kousbroek (The Dutch writer) even called Toba Lake, 'the most beautiful place on earth'. by visiting to discover the island, to visit traditional Batak villages, to swim in the lake and go to the hot springs in Pangururan.
Day 1 : MEDAN – BERASTAGI: Grand Mutiara Hotel *5 (D)
Leave for Berastagi a refreshing mountain resort which is two hours drive from Medan. Arrival at Berastagi visiting fruit and vegetable market. Check in to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2 : BERASTAGI – SAMOSIR: Silintong Hotel *2 (B, D)
Breakfast at hotel, leave for Samosir island, en route visit the traditional Batak Karo Village-Dokan, where ancient houses are still use, then visiting fruit market, Sipisopiso waterfall and Purba to observer Batak Simalungun King’s Palace, then proceed the journey to Prapat. Crossing by boat to Samosir Island, it takes 45 minutes. Overnight and dinner at hotel.
Day 3 : SAMOSIR TOUR – MEDAN: TIARA *4 (B, D)
After breakfast at hotel; after that boat cruising to visit the Samosir island. En route stop at Ambarita village to see remnants of stone courtyard where once used by ancient tribal chieftains, the last village is Tomok to see the old tomb King of Sidabutar. Return to Medan via Pematangsiantar with the endless view of rubber, oil palm plantations along the journey. Arrive in Medan transfer to your hotel for accommodation.
Day 4 : HOTEL – AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast, free at own activities until the time transferred to airport for your next Flight.
